The popular coin "Noah's Ark" is made of the highest grade silver. It is the first issue of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia. At present it acts as a means of payment according to its face value.
Description
On the front side of the money is the coat of arms of Armenia, under it the face value is indicated. On the right side there is an inscription of 5 kg and Ag 999. On the left side there is a sign of the issuing bank. At the bottom in the form of a semicircle is written: REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA. On the top is the same, in the language of the issuing country.
On the reverse one can see a dove flying towards the ark. The background shows Mount Ararat and the rising sun with its rays drawn in detail. There is an olive branch in the beak of the bird. The design of the money sign belongs to Eduard Kurginyan.
