The popular coin «Noah's Ark» is made of gold of the highest grade. It is the first issue of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia. It is currently acting as a means of payment at its face value.
Description
.
On the front side of the banknote the coat of arms of Armenia is depicted, under it the nominal value is indicated. On the right side there is an inscription 1/4 OZ and Ag 999. On the left side there is a sign of the issuing bank. At the bottom in the form of a semicircle is written: REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA. At the top — it is the same, in the language of the issuing country.
On the reverse you can see a dove flying towards the ark. The background shows Mount Ararat and the rising sun with detailed rays. In the beak of the bird — a branch of olive tree. The design of the money sign belongs to Eduard Kurginyan.
